A Little Camping Trip

We recently went on a little family camping trip to Vogel State Park. We have been wanting to visit this state park for a while, and we were not disappointed. It was a nice park to stay in with plenty to do both in and nearby the park.

Our big hiking day took place at the Woody Gap area, where we hiked to Preacher's Rock.

The girls led the way and did a great job hiking.

At Preacher's Rock...

It did rain on us more than usual this trip, but we just took advantage of the time inside the camper to teach the kids how to play Blackjack.

When it wasn't raining, we were biking...

...playing on the playground...

...playing putt-putt...

...or playing in the water. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of that part. Vogel has a nice lake with a beached-off area for the kids. They loved playing in the water, and one day Spencer and Claire also rode in a paddle-boat.

There was a really neat place nearby called "Sleepy Hollow Enterprises." It was basically a fairy village with handmade fairy houses for the kids to explore.

And of course, the trip wouldn't be complete without s'mores!
