A Very Merry February

The weekend before AK's birthday, we celebrated with a party at the park. It was a beautiful day and full of "AK Hugs," which are the very best you could imagine...

It was also full of cupcakes, which is always fun.

And full of friends and gifts!

AK loved her party "this much"...

February was also full of other fun things like basketball and Owen's car.

He's like a little Spencer walking around!!!

And then the weekend after AK's birthday we headed north, first to Helen...

It's real live snow on the ground!!! (We had to put a limit on how much snow AK ate. None of the yellow variety, though.)

Look at these icicles!

Second hike of the day...

After all that hiking, you would think everyone would be worn out. But on the way back to the lodge, we saw a high ropes course, and who do you think wanted to do it???

The four year old, of course!!!

She wasn't even afraid!

Brother and sister watching from below...

The best part! Zipline!!!

After a couple of days in Helen, we went further north to visit Spencer's family in North Carolina. Unfortunately I did not get any pictures while we were there, but we had a great visit with Aunt Joan, Uncle Ralph, Nanny Faye, Papa, and everyone else who was there.

On the way back we got to see some of our favorite friends. Here are Ivy and Hayley with the Shugart kiddos!

These two tall girls were only 5 and 2 when we left Sylva.

This girl right here is like a deep breath for my soul. I miss sharing life with you Amanda!

And that was our merry February!
