Fort Mountain and a Ditch

This is the place where the van's front tire was suspended in mid-air over a ditch that time that we rolled into the state park 3 minutes before the 10PM locking of the gates and tried to back into the campsite in the dark.

I wasn't laughing at the time, as I had to gun the accelerator while easing off the parking brake and Spencer was holding up the front end of the van with a pile of rocks. But, now it's kind of funny.

Other than that, it was a good, but cold, trip.

Horse Camp and School Days

AK's dreams came true when she went to a horse daycamp.

They even literally painted the horses.

It was an experience she'll never forget.

Claire grabbed my camera and snapped some pictures during a normal school morning.

I don't know what had happened here to make Owen upset but I feel like these pictures are pretty good summaries of the season of motherhood. Thanks Claire-bear.

Birthday Festivities

Once upon a time, Claire turned 11 and had cinnamon rolls for breakfast.

The very next day, Owen turned 6.

He had a giant pancake.

Owen and Oliver celebrated at Monkey Joes...

And Claire had a baking party with her friends.

 The end!
