In an attempt to catch this blog up to the present, here are some very random pieces of 2021.
The horse that Uncle Bo and Aunt Bonnie gave AK for Christmas. The one that is almost bigger than her bed but that she insists must live on her bed. The one for which there are no words.
One of AK's many Lego creations. The one that looks like her face is weirdly and badly photoshopped in, but I promise it's not. Her body is back there too. Somewhere.
Some banjo lessons.
When the kids go for a walk or a jog or a bike ride down the street, I never know what I'm going to see when they come back. AK carrying a rocking chair? Perhaps.
These kids can't leave things alone that they find by the side of the road.
Owen enjoys yogurt.
And I enjoy him in his pj's. I want to eat him.
AK's love for horses continues strong.
I mean. Eat him.
Waiting so patiently at horseback lessons.
A little fine arts at school.
Sweet friends over to play.
Brave girl heading out on a cold, early morning to a tennis tournament.
Chalking up the driveway in the summer warmth.
More riding.
Goats.
Creating a pulley system as a challenge for school.
Filling the fairy garden with little plants from our sweet neighbor's garden.
A homemade cake decorated with marshmallow and toothpick molecules to share with her science class.
So much of the first quarter of our year was spent renovating the dentist office turned physical therapy clinic that we purchased in January. For weeks Spencer worked all day at the old clinic and then worked all night getting this space ready. We are so happy to be fully moved in now!
And those are some pieces of 2021, with more still to come!
