The Great Smokies...

We are blessed to live in a gorgeous part of the country, and we hope to take full advantage of it while we are here. Today we took a family field trip to the Great Smokey Mountain National Park! It was a beautiful day and we had so much fun exploring...

I am so grateful for our little family. God has truly blessed me with a wonderful husband and a little girl who brings sunshine to our days! I really pray that I won't take any moment for granted. I love our days together, whether they appear to others to be boring or exciting, because every moment is a gift from our heavenly Father.

A Week of Firsts

So, it's a week of firsts at the Shugart household!! First Claire tried solid food, and then today she sat up unsupported! She's growing up so fast!

Our baby girl is growing up. On the eve of her five-month birthday, Claire tried solid food for the first time...

What a conundrum. I'll have to let you know how Spencer's syllabus crisis turns out. But all in all, Claire loved the food and didn't want to stop eating. Success!!!

Happy Easter!!!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend. We went to GA to visit my side of the family. What a great time we had! Jared and Bonnie and Jeni all made it home as well, so we were all together for just the second time since Claire was born! Here is Claire with her proud papa...

There was a whole lot of napping going on this weekend...

We went to an Easter egg hunt at Northside on Saturday. Claire had fun seeing all the bigger kids as they looked for Easter eggs.

We were so excited that GranKay got to come see us at the Easter egg hunt! What a special time it was!!
