There is the one who is full of curiosity and reflection...

And whose contemplations are as steady as the tide.

There are the two who double the beauty in my world...

And the two who make each other brave...

And the two who can't say no to an adventure.

There are the three who make a cord not easily broken.

And I pray that they will be as full of grace as of truth...

As full of wisdom as of fun...

As full of courage as of curiosity...

That they would wear truth and kindness like a necklace...

Faith like a shield...

And love like a banner.

That goodness and mercy...

Will follow them...

All the days of their life.

Back to School...

It's hard to believe that summer is winding down and school is starting back! We got an earlier start than normal this year because we are going to be taking a week off soon to go to the beach. I try to make the transition back to school easier by having some treats waiting on the kids when they wake up...

Everyone was super excited to have smoothies for breakfast!

We had a really good first day of school. After a morning full of work, we spent the afternoon playing and exploring! AK helped Owen make a carwash for his matchbox cars...

And Claire did some hands-on science by cracking geodes to find out what kind of crystals were inside!

I for one am super excited to get back in the groove of things for the school year!
