This light switch plate has been sitting on Owen's dresser for months. I walked in yesterday and found that AK had found a screwdriver, taken the old one off, and installed this one without saying a word about it to anyone.
We went on a field trip to the Rock Ranch, which included some time in the much-favored corn bin...
Some trips down the tunnel slide in the hill...
More time in the corn bin...
Simulating an earthquake on the giant jumping pillow...
Learning about fossils...
And mining for gems!
The library had a super-hero rescuers day, where we had the opportunity to stand in line for an hour and a half to pet a police dog...
And say hello to Skye from Paw Patrol.
Jen and the girls came down for lunch and Owen and Kaylee got some serious checker-playing done at Cracker Barrel.
AK had her long-awaited birthday sleepover, which had to be postponed from the original date due to sickness.
She adored having her friends here to help decorate her birthday "dessert pizza."
Also, AK has been taking horse-back riding lessons again!
I think they are outgrowing our trampoline.
Owen played the ukulele all the way to Valdosta.
We tried to sell some things out in front of the clinic during Peaches to Beaches yardsale weekend.
AK dressed up as eggs and bacon so that people would stop.
She and Miss Madison were an amazing team.
Sometimes band practice at church runs late.
Other times we have tornado warnings and hang out in the bathtub with our bike helmets on.
AK got more horses for her birthday. They're awfully big.
This was on her actual birthday - first pic as a 7 year old! With giant chocolate chip pancakes!
We went out one day to the wildlife management area, where AK and Daddy mountain biked together...
While Claire, Owen, Hillman, and I walked and saw a snake cross the road.
We did get to see the Lady Bears play basketball this year!
The kids even got autographs!
